Conviction

He was willing to strike a deal with an innocuous form of Christianity in order to get what he wanted out of ‘real life.’

Onward, p. 2

But that is not uncommon with man. We want to get on in life with as little trouble as possible, and often “as little trouble” means going along with the flow, whatever direction the flow happens to be going. How many have joined a church because it was the in-thing to do? How many have flown a pride flag because it was the in-thing to do? How many have voted for a candidate because it was the in-thing to do? How many will go along with evil or good because it is the in-thing to do? Peer pressure does not stop just because one graduates high school. Every culture will test someone’s conviction.
